SF9 debytoi vuonna 2016 julkaisullaan Feeling Sensation. Yhtye oli yhdeksänjäseninen, mutta Rowoon lähti ryhmästä vuonna 2023. Tällä kiertueella jäsenistä nähtiin kuitenkin viisi, Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Hwiyoung ja Chani. SF9 on erityisen tunnettu biiseistään Tear Drop ja O Sole Mio.
Lokakuinen päivä valkeni Helsingissä sateisena ja myrskyisenä, mutta Kulttuuritalon edusta täyttyi innokkaista faneista. SF9 oli viimein saapunut ensimmäistä kertaa esiintymään Suomeen kiertueellaan Love Dawn. K-pop on tunnettu fanien yhteisöllisyydestä, sekä keikkojen faniprojekteista, joita tälläkin kertaa oli. Fanit jakoivat ulkona itsetekemiään rannekoruja ja photocardeja, sekä pihalla oli Suomen lippu johon jokainen halukas sai kirjoittaa nimensä.
Yhtye aloitti keikkansa kappaleella Love Race, joka antoi vaikuttavan alun keikalle. Suurin osa keikalla esitetyistä kappaleista oli nopeatempoisia ja sisälsivät koreografian, joten keikan tahti ja jäsenten energisyys ja stamina oli hengästyttävää katsottavaa. Keikan alkupuoliskolla äänekkäimmät huudot saivat aikaan yhtyeen hitit Tear Drop ja Trauma.
Keikan puolivälissä neljä jäsenistä esittivät soolobiisinsä; Youngbin Somedayn, Inseong On the Groundin, Jaeyoon Birds of a Featherin ja Hwiyoung Back to Friendsin.
Suomalaiset ja suomalaiset fanit nähdään ja kuvaillaan usein hiljaisina ja varautuneina, mutta keikan aikana tästä ei ollut tietoakaan. SF9 kehui moneen kertaan äänekästä yleisöä, ja kovan melun vuoksi korvissa soi vielä monta tuntia keikan loppumisen jälkeen. Lokakuinen myrskysää ei ole ideaalein aika vierailla Suomessa, mutta yhtye kertoi käyneensä lämpimässä saunassa edeltävänä päivänä. Yleisöä villisti myös yhtyeen faktatieto siitä, että Joulupukki on kotoisin Suomesta.
Soolo-osuuksien jälkeen keikan tahti jatkui entistä energisempänä loppua kohden. Erityisesti haluamme nostaa esiin kappaleen Mamma Mia, joka oli erästä ylläpitäjäämme lainaten “bängeri”. Kappale on yhtyeen tunnetuimpia, ja sai yleisön villisti hyppimään ja tanssimaan. Koko keikan ajan yleisön keskuudessa oli yhteisöllisyyden tunne, joka erityisesti korostui tämän biisin aikana.
Päällimmäisin tunne keikasta oli ilo ja riemu, joka säteili esiintyjistä ja välittyi yleisöön. Mihin suuntaan tahansa katsoessa permannolla näkyi tanssivia faneja, jotka osasivat kappaleet sanasta sanaan, nauroivat ja tanssivat keskenään. SF9 kahden tunnin mittainen keikka nosti esiin vilpittömän ilon ja auttoi unohtamaan hetkeksi kaikki oman elämän ongelmat ja stressitekijät, ja vain heittäytyä mukaan ja riemuita muun yleisön kanssa.

SF9 debuted in 2016 with their single album ‘Feeling sensation’. The group originally debuted with 9 members but Rowoon parted ways with the group in 2023. However, only five members, Youngbin, Inseong, Jaeyoon, Hwiyoung ja Chani, took part in the tour this time. SF9 is well known for their hit songs Tear drop and O sole mio.
Despite the rainy and stormy October weather, the yard of the House of Culture was filled with excited fans. SF9 had arrived to perform in Finland for the first time on their Love dawn tour. K-pop is known for fanprojects and the unity between fans and both could be found this time also. Fans were walking around gifting people self-made bracelets and photocards and a Finnish flag was spread on the ground for everyone to write their names on.
The group started with the song Love race that gave the concert an impressive start. Most of the performed songs had a fast tempo and a strong choreography so the members’ energy and stamina was impressive to follow. During the first half of the show the hit songs Tear drop and Trauma awakened received the loudestt reactions from the crowd. Around the half-way mark of the show, four of the members performed their solo covers: Youngbin of Someday, Inseong of On the Ground, Jaeyoon of Birds of a Feather and Hwiyoung of Back to Friends.
Finns and Finnish fans are often seen and described as shy and reserved but none of this could be noticed during the concert. SF9 praised the loud crowd multiple times and the concert left your ears ringing for hours after the concert. A stormy October day is not an ideal time to visit Finland but the group said that they had visited a warm sauna the day before. The crowd also reacted strongly when the group members shared that they were aware of the fact that Santa Claus is from Finland.
After the solo performances, the concert got even more energetic while it was closing to the end. We wanted to give a special mention to ‘Mamma mia’ which by the words of one of our admins was a ‘banger’. The song is one of the most well-known songs by the group and it got even the shyest people in the audience to wildly dance and sing along. A feeling of unity could be felt in the audience through the whole concert but during this song the feeling was even more highlighted.
The top emotion after the concert was happiness and joy that radiated from the artist and spread through the audience. No matter which way you looked around the pit, you could see fans laughing, dancing and singing along from word to word. The two hour concert brought up genuine joy and helped everyone to forget their everyday issues and stressors for a little while and instead just throw themselves into the motion and dance and enjoy with the rest of the crowd.
